The Technoscope Publications’s Team Development and Team Building
July 12-14, 2022

The Technoscope Publications, the official campus publication of PSU – Urdaneta City Campus, went to Patar, Bolinao on July 12-14, 2022 for team building activities, together with a seminar on the basics of photojournalism.

The program was organized by Emil Isaac Conde, the Adviser of the Technoscope Publications, and Christian Jordan Gallego, the outgoing Editor-in-Chief.

Adnes Jay Estrada, the officer-in-charge Editor-in-Chief, led the welcome remarks during the program. Meanwhile, the adviser of the publication gave his inspirational message and words of wisdom about the value of relationships.

Estrada’s speech revolved around the importance with building relationships among staff of the publication. Meanwhile, the adviser’s lecture was on how to build relationships, which he said, the student writers needed to know and understand themselves first.

Each member was awarded a certificate of membership, whereas a loyalty award was given to Christian Gallego, Mara Soriben, and Christine Villamater, for their four-year service as members of the publication.

All participants actively participated in the game proposed by the program’s organizers, supervised by former staff members Ronald Lomibao, Elyssa Joyce Diaz-Abrigo, James Erese, Christine Villamater, and Mara Soriben.

The adviser gave his concluding remarks by expressing his gratitude to everyone who came.

Christian Jordan Gallego served as the master of ceremonies for this event.

Makabagong Dyornalismo 3.0: A Webinar on Campus Journalism amidst Pandemic and Misinformation

The Technoscope Publications hosted a webinar on March 12, 2022, in partnership with Notre Dame Siena College – General Santos, Notre Dame Siena College – Marbel, South Cotabato, and Notre Dame Siena College – Polomolok, South Cotabato with the theme ‘Makabagong Dyornalismo 3.0: A Webinar on Campus Journalism amidst Pandemic and Misinformation.’ This activity aimed to provide an introduction on the techniques and guidelines on News, Editorial, and Feature writing. The resource speakers are Christian Gallego (EIC), Christine Villamater (News Editor), and Jessadine Baluyot (Feature Editor).

The Technoscope Publications hosted a webinar on November 27, 2021, in partnership with the Sta. Catalina College – Manila, Inc, St. Catherine’s Academy of Gattaran, Inc. (from Cagayan, Region II), Holy Trinity University (from Palawan, Region IV-B), and Siena College Tigaon, Inc. (from Camarines Sur, Region V), with the theme “Makabagong Dyornalismo 2.0: A Webinar Series on Modern Campus Journalism.” This activity aimed to provide a comprehensive explanation of techniques and enhancement of skills on News, Feature, Sports, and Editorial Writing. The resource speakers for this webinar are Mr. Christian Gallego (EIC), Mr. Adnes Jay Estrada (Associate Editor), Ms. Jessadine Rose Baluyot (Features Editor), and Mr. Christian Niturada (Sports Writer).

The Technoscope Publications hosted a webinar on October 16, 2021, in partnership with the Dominican School of Pilar, Inc. and DSP-ARGUS, with the title “Makabagong Dyornalismo: A Webinar on Sports, Literary, and News Writing.” This activity aimed to provide an in-depth explanation of techniques and enhancement of skills.
