Pangasinan State University (PSU) conducted the Investors in People (IiP) Feedback Session on May 26, 2026, at the Office of the President Conference Room and via MS Teams. The activity gathered university officials, human resource personnel, campus HR coordinators, and the IiP Accrediting Team following PSU’s historic achievement as the 1st and only higher education institution (HEI) in Asia to receive the Investors in People Platinum Accreditation, the highest international recognition for excellence in people management.
Among Investors in People-accredited organizations worldwide with 250 to 4,999 employees, PSU ranked 83rd out of 1,232 organizations placing it among the top-performing institutions globally. More impressively, among higher education institutions of similar size, PSU ranked 3rd out of 46, highlighting its position as one of the leading universities in people management and organizational excellence.
In his Message of Gratitude and Commitment, University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas expressed his appreciation to the accrediting team and acknowledged the collective efforts of the PSU community in achieving the Platinum recognition. He emphasized, “We recognize that our people are our greatest resource, and it is our responsibility to ensure that every individual feels valued, appreciated, fairly recognized, and empowered to contribute meaningfully to the university.”
The session was attended by the University Vice Presidents, the Acting Chief Administrative Officer for Administration who also serves as Acting Board Secretary, Executive Directors, members of the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), and the IiP Accrediting Team led by Ms. Janet Webster, along with Ms. Teresita Villanueva, Ms. Charito Ventura, and Ms. Andee Plana.
Serving as a venue for reflection and evaluation, the feedback session highlighted the presentation of assessment findings, benchmarking insights, and recommendations aimed at sustaining institutional excellence and continuous improvement.
During the discussion, Ms. Janet Webster presented the accreditation results and elaborated on the survey methodology, institutional strengths, and areas for further enhancement.
She underscored how PSU’s leadership practices, organizational culture, and employee engagement initiatives contributed to its attainment of the prestigious Platinum status, placing the University among a select group of organizations worldwide recognized for excellence in people management.
Further, members of the accrediting team commended PSU’s people-centered practices and initiatives, recognizing the University’s strong commitment to excellence in leadership, governance, and employee engagement.
The activity concluded with the University expressing its continued dedication to further enhancing its organizational culture, maintaining high-quality human resource practices, and sustaining the standards that earned PSU its historic distinction as the first and only HEI in Asia to achieve the Investors in People Platinum Accreditation—a milestone that continuously proves PSU’s standing as a global benchmark in people management and organizational excellence.
