By | Adnes Jay Estrada, Editorial and Opinion Editor Faculty members and students of Pangasinan State University – Urdaneta City Campus (PSU-UCC) held a pre-planning meeting today in preparation for their upcoming gift-giving activity to Ibaloi Tribe members in San Nicholas, Pangasinan. This activity will be done on December 7, 2022, spearheaded by the Gender and Development (GAD) Office. The meeting was headed by BJ Ambat, Mark John Padilla, Joan Elizabeth Ibay, and Emil Isaac Conde, who are PSU-UCC’s GAD Coordinator, Extension Services Coordinator, General Education Department Instructor, and Campus Publication Adviser, respectively. This will be the first time the students of PSU-UCC will directly participate in GAD’s extension project. The said activity was entitled as Project Bataris, directly translating to Proyektong Bayanihan in Filipino. The Ibaloi Tribe is an indigenous ethnic group found in Northern Luzon. PSU-UC’s GAD Office will soon release instructions to donate in aid of Project Bataris. Meanwhile, the Technoscope Publications will be Project Bataris’ official documentation team.
