Pangasinan State University continues to solidify its mark on the international stage as six (6) outbound Teacher Education students and two (2) accompanying faculty members successfully completed their international academic deployment at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The delegation represented the university in the prestigious Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project) Batch 11, an initiative by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
The student teachers underwent an intensive, cross-border teaching practicum from May 17 to 30, 2026, immersing themselves in Indonesian school systems, mastering diverse pedagogical styles, and fostering intercultural connections.
Meanwhile, the accompanying faculty members engaged in a comprehensive academic exchange and collaboration from May 17 to 23, 2026, further strengthening institutional ties between PSU and UHAMKA.
This milestone deployment was made possible through the leadership of the University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, alongside the support of his Vice Presidents from different division, Dr. Renato E. Salcedo , Vice President for Local and International Affairs, Dr. Weenalei T. Fajardo, Vice President for Academics and Student Services, and Dr. Jeanilyn L. Villanueva, Vice President for Administration and Finance.
With the successful completion of this engagement, PSU takes pride in producing globally competitive, culturally fluent, and highly competent future educators.
