The Electrical Engineering Department marked a milestone on April 16, 2026, with its 1st Hard Hatting and Vesting Ceremony, with a theme of “Pioneers of Power: Beginning the Journey as Future Electrical Engineers.”
The event served as a formal rite of passage, marking the moment students officially embrace the standards and responsibilities of the engineering industry. The ceremony, supported by the Electrical Engineering faculty, was attended by university officials including Dr. Renato E. Salcedo (Campus Executive Director), Engr. Rex B. Basuel (Dean of CEA), Dr. Edna C. Queriones (Dean of Student Services and Alumni Affairs), and Ma’am Eufrocina L. Abbruzzese (Administrative Officer V). Their presence and shared messages both inspired the attendees and emphasized the safety standards and integrity inherent in the profession.
Guest speaker Engr. Javlin D. Badua further inspired the cohort by sharing practical industry experiences and emphasizing the importance of safety. The ceremony concluded with the official donning of safety gear, symbolizing the students’ commitment to excellence and professional integrity as they begin their journey into the field.
