On the afternoon of October 6, 2025, along with the 12 participating student organizations, representatives from PSU Urdaneta Intel – John Lorenz Tugare, Aaron JohnAgamao, and Jessa Mae Bagusto, participated in the outreach activity for the children at Manaoag Christian Children’s Home Inc. located at Tebuel, Manaoag, Pangasinan. As the three representatives arrived at the orphanage, they had the time to connect with the children deeply.
They first had a meaningful conversation with the social workers to better understand the children and their stories. Afterwards, they gently approached the kids and had the chance to have a playful conversation and a game with them.
Next, a program was opened by a prayer and messages by faculty representatives from various organizations. Afterwards, different organizations led fun, interactive and meaningful activities – including storytelling, art and math mini activities, and lively games. Shortly after, snacks and tokens were distributed, followed by the awarding of certificates and documentation.Lastly, John Lorenz Tugare – a representative from PSU Urdaneta Intel, delivered a short lecture for the children with the theme “Maging Isang Mabuting Bata”.
He shared valuable advice on how to become a “Mabuting Bata” in an interactive and light hearted manner, radiating a bright and positive energy towards the children.
To wrap up the program, Ms. Audra D. Bangsal, one of the social workers in charge of the orphanage, expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in the outreach activity for bringing joy to the hearts of the children, even for a short time. Truly, this experience served as a reminder to look beyond what we usually see and understand realities – like the lives within orphanages. Together, may we continue to share kindness, bring smiles, and offer love to others, even in ways unseen. The PSU Urdaneta Intel expresses its gratitude to everyone who made the outreach activity possible and to all who took part in making it a meaningful success.
