In partnership with Notre Dame Siena Colleges of General Santos City, Marbel and Polomolok, South Cotabato, and Siena College – Tigaon, Camarines Sur, The Technoscope Publications conducted its third campus journalism webinar with the theme “Makabagong Dyornalismo 3.0: A Webinar on Campus Journalism amidst Pandemic and Misinformation” via Zoom which also aired live on the official Facebook page of the publication last March 12.
One hundred three participants from participating schools attended the webinar hosted by Adnes Jay Estrada, the Editor-in-Chief (OIC).
Michaelangelo Collina, Paper Adviser of Notre Dame Siena College – General Santos City, gave the opening remarks for the webinar, welcoming the participants and sharing his insight on how to become campus journalists. It was followed by an inspirational message from Liza Mae Obligado, Paper Adviser of Notre Dame Siena College – Marbel, South Cotabato, who shared words of wisdom to inspire the participants revitalize talents to share correct and truthful information.
The resource speakers for the said webinar were Christian Jordan Gallego, Editor-in-Chief, Jessadine Baluyot, Feature Editor, and Christine Villamater, News Editor, of the Technoscope Publications, who discussed the introduction, techniques and guidelines on News Writing, Feature Writing, and Editorial Writing, respectively.
Afterwards, a writing competition was held between the participants of Notre Dame Siena Colleges. The following names of the participants won in the said competition:

3RD PLACE: ATHENA GRACE CALLUENG & JOAN DEL CASTILLO
A total of 89 student-journalists participated in the writing competition.
Meanwhile, in an evaluation from created by the said publication through google forms, 63 student-journalists gave their words of appreciation to the publication and resource speakers for a very informative and educational webinar when asked what did they like most about the program.
Emil Isaac Conde, Adviser of the Technoscope Publications, formally ended the webinar extending his gratitude to all who joined the webinar.
