The Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines – Student Edition (ICpEP.SE) – Pangasinan State University Urdaneta City Chapter proudly congratulates Princes Erika R. Calimlim, Aron Paul N. Galivo, and Jeramelle Dela Cruz, fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering students majoring in Embedded Systems, for the successful presentation of their capstone research through a Poster Presentation at the National Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering Conference (NEECECON) 2026 held on July 14, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City (UP BGC) Campus, Taguig City.
Their work was featured in the NEECECON 2026 Book of Abstracts, recognizing their contribution to the conference’s collection of emerging research and innovations in the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering.
This achievement follows the team’s successful presentation at the International Metals and Engineering Conference (IMEC) 2026, where they represented PSU-UCC and the Computer Engineering Department with their capstone research. Their participation in NEECECON 2026 further demonstrates the University and the Department’s commitment to cultivating innovation and producing student research recognized on the national stage.
The researchers were guided by their research adviser, Engr. Roderick L. Calaguio, whose mentorship and support contributed to the development and completion of their work.
The ICpEP.SE PSU Urdaneta City Chapter also extends its appreciation to the university officials and Computer Engineering faculty members whose support continues to strengthen the culture of research and innovation within the program: Engr. Kenneth S. Viray, CpE Practice and Design Coordinator; Engr. Jay-Ar M. Pentecostes, Department Chair of the Computer Engineering Department; Dr. Rex B. Basuel, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture; and Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, Campus Executive Director.
NEECECON is a national platform that gathers researchers, professionals, academicians, and engineering students to showcase innovations, exchange knowledge, and highlight advancements in the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering. Carrying the 2026 theme, “Integrating Intelligent Systems for a Resilient Philippines,” the conference underscores the vital role of engineering research and emerging technologies in addressing real-world challenges and shaping a more resilient nation.
Being part of this conference provides our students with the opportunity to represent Pangasinan State University – Urdaneta City Campus, engage with the wider engineering research community, and contribute to the growing culture of innovation and discovery.
Congratulations to our COEfficients on this remarkable achievement!
