The Pangasinan State University, Urdaneta City Campus, successfully conducted its Pre-OJT/Internship Seminar and Orientation Program on January 20, 2025, at the SAC Building. This event aimed to equip student interns with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to perform effectively in their upcoming on-the-job training (OJT).

The program commenced promptly at 9:00 AM with an audio-visual presentation of the university prayer, national anthem, ASEAN hymn, Pangasinan hymn, and PSU hymn, setting the tone for the event.

The opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Kathleen Jane G. Esteves, the Campus Internship Coordinator. She warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the significance of the seminar in preparing students for real-world experiences.

Dr. Roy C. Ferrer, the Campus Executive Director, inspired the attendees with an insightful message. He stressed the importance of professional growth, responsibility, and perseverance as they transition from academic learning to hands-on application.

Mr. Kristian T. Carvajal, Values Restoration Officer, presented an engaging discussion on workplace etiquette and ethics. He highlighted the value of professionalism, integrity, and effective communication in fostering a positive workplace environment.

The next session was facilitated by Dr. Shirley A. Layona, Campus Guidance Counselor, who addressed the topic of job placement. She provided practical tips and guidance on how students could maximize their internship experience to secure future employment opportunities.

The Partner Agencies were introduced by Dr. Christine Lourrine S. Tablatin, Chair of the IT Department, and Dr. Edna C. Queriones, Chair of the ABEL Department. They provided an overview of the agencies’ roles and how students would benefit from their partnerships during the internship period.

Ms. Kathleen Jane G. Esteves returned to the stage to guide students through the internship basics and required forms. She ensured that students were well-informed of the processes and documentation necessary to complete their OJT requirements.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Frederick F. Patacsil, Dean of the College of Computing. He expressed his gratitude to the organizers, speakers, and participants for their active involvement and wished the students success in their internships.
