On October 14, 2024, a presentation was held at the Department of Education (DepEd) Region I office in San Fernando, La Union, to showcase the newly developed Data Management Analytics System. This system aims to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting within the education sector, thereby improving decision-making and educational outcomes.
The objective of the presentation is to familiarize attendees with the new system’s functionalities and benefits, provide a live demonstration of how the system operates, engage stakeholders, and collect their insights for further system enhancements.
The presentation began with a welcome address from Ma’am Cecilia P. Rosido, who emphasized the importance of effective data management in educational planning and policy-making. The agenda included a detailed explanation of the system’s components, a live demonstration, and an interactive Q&A session.
Sir Rhenel Bernisca a faculty from the College of Computing conducted a live demonstration of the system showcasing the dashboard overview on how to access and interpret key data metrics from a centralized dashboard, data entry and management, and report generation on how to generate various reports provided illustrating the system’s analytical capabilities.
Following the demonstration, an interactive Q&A session allowed attendees to express their thoughts and ask questions.
The presentation concluded with a summary of the system’s potential to transform data management practices within DepEd Region I. The attendees expressed enthusiasm about using the Data Management Analytics System to enhance education administration and improve student outcomes.
